With the onset of the Israel-Hamas War in October 2023, the Yuri Shtern Holistic center has dedicated itself to helping those affected by the war by establishing the ‘Helping Hands’ project. As part of this project, the volunteers of the Yuri Shtern Holistic Center provide complimentary various touch-based treatments (massages, shiatsu, reflexology, acupuncture and more) to people who have been displaced from their homes in the south an north of Israel, to those injured in the attacks,to medical staff, as well as many others.

Within the framework of the project, the center provided over 2,500 treatments in 15 different locations across the country (hotels and guesthouses, bases, hospitals, community centers, the center's holistic care clinics, and more). Over 100 volunteers took part in the project.

Following the return of some residents of the Gaza envelope to their homes after six months of war, and in light of the significant connection that was created with them within the framework of the 'Helping Hands' project, we will soon begin the 'Recovery Gate' project. As part of the project, residents returning to their homes will be offered a series of touch therapies for several months (until the end of 2024). The treatments will be provided in a rehabilitative orientation and will help the residents of the envelope to recover, rehabilitate, and return to their daily routine as it was before the events of October 7, 2023.
