In A memory of Yuri Stern
MK Dr. Yuri Shtern (1949-2007), was in the height of his activities and political work for the people and the State of Israel when he passed away from cancer. His early passing was a difficult blow to his family and friends, as well as to many citizens and public personalities who have followed his work with attention and support. The Yuri Shtern Foundation, which was established by his family and friends, continuous his public work with the conviction that it serves as the best way to commemorate him and his legacy. The Yuri Shtern Holistic Center for those dealing with cancer is the heart and core of the Foundation’s activities. The Foundation is a registered non-profit, and the entirety of its activities are enabled by the support of the public as well as donations from local and international foundations and individuals.

Since its establishment in September 2011, the Yuri Shtern House has served as the foundation for the Foundation's activities. The house hosts the clinic where we treat cancer patients and their families, and serves as the hub for recruiting, training, and supporting the volunteer therapists who operate at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center and within the clinic itself.
Our vision is to transform the Yuri Shtern House into a community anchor that promotes the integration of integrative medicine into the lives of those facing cancer and their families. This is achieved through open-house days, workshops, courses, seminars, and experiential activities that promote a healthy lifestyle for the entire community.

In 2013, a book of poems and memoirs by the late Yuri Shtern, titled "The Threads of Time," was published.
The book (in Hebrew) is available for purchase at the Yuri Shtern House, located at 6 Emek Refaim St., Jerusalem.
